Josie Stephens was crowned Miss Nevada USA on 25 June 2023 and represented Nevada at the Miss USA pageant. A native of Lafayette who now lives in Fallon, Josie competed eight times in Louisiana, including three first runner-up finishes, before moving to the Silver State. She has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Josie competed eight times – seven in Miss and once in Teen – in Louisiana prior to winning Miss Nevada USA. She was third runner-up three consecutive years, to Tanya Crowe in 2021, KT Scannell in 2022 and Sylvia Masters in 2023. She will compete with Sylvia and fellow Louisiana transplant Jordyn McKey, Miss North Carolina USA, at Miss USA 2023. The three were all runners-up at Miss Louisiana USA 2021 and 2022.
