A native of Omaha, Mimi Wood was crowned Miss Nebraska USA on 26 February 2023 and will represent Nebraska at the Miss USA 2023 pageant. Mimi is a competitive dancer and enjoys coaching competitive dance and choreographing dance routines, as well as developing her own non-profit connected to the YMCA.
Miss Nebraska USA 2023 Mimi Wood was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education and Human Sciences. Growing up as a dancer herself, in her free time Mimi enjoys coaching competitive dance and choreographing dance routines. In addition to to coaching, her other hobbies include pageantry, working out, and she is currently developing a nonprofit for youth mentorship, advocacy, and empowerment.

Mimi was a runner-up the three previous times she competed, finishing third runner-up to Megan Swanson in 2020, first runner-up to Erika Etzelmiller in 2021 and second runner-up to Natalie Pieper in 2022.
