A native of Scotia, Belinda Wright was crowned Miss Nebraska USA on 25 October 2009 and represented Nebraska at the Miss USA 2010 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sadly Belinda’s father died in a farming accident while she was in Las Vegas during Miss USA 2010. She returned to compete in the final pageant, giving Nebraska their first placement since 1980 and winning Miss Congeniality.
