A native of Amory, Kaylee Brooke McCollum was crowned Miss Mississippi USA 2024 on 6 April and represented Mississippi at the Miss USA 2024 pageant. Kaylee was previously third runner-up at Miss Teen USA 2019. She has a Bachelor’s Of Science in Nursing-RN, BSN from Mississippi University for Women.
Kaylee Brooke McCollum is a 23-year-old native of Amory, Mississippi who is no stranger to the Miss Universe Organization! Kaylee Brooke represented Mississippi and placed 3rd Runner-Up to Miss Teen USA in 2018!
After graduating from The Mississippi University for Women and earning her BS in Nursing, she worked for two years as a Critical Care Nurse before landing her current position as a nurse at Accent Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. With aspirations to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, she is honored to have been accepted into The University of North Alabama’s esteemed master’s program to continue her educational journey.
In 2018, Kaylee Brooke faced the devastating loss of a dear friend to suicide. This profound loss ignited her passion to make a difference for those struggling through mental health challenges and led to her founding of #YOUmatter, a social media community on Facebook and Instagram. As Kaylee Brooke progressed in her nursing education, she recognized the critical importance of addressing mental health concerns among college students, a demographic particularly vulnerable to the pressures and stresses of academic life. Building upon the foundation of #YOUmatter, she conceived Ignite the Voice 360, a platform dedicated to amplifying the conversations surrounding college student mental health. Through Ignite the Voice 360, Kaylee Brooke fearlessly shares her own experiences, insights, and expertise, striving to break down the stigma and barriers to mental healthcare access.
Outside of pageants, Kaylee Brooke enjoys spending her free time with her two nieces, Callie (5) and Laynie (1). She may also be found with a makeup brush or hair tool in her hand styling as an artist through her very own business, KBKreations.
Kaylee Brooke is deeply honored and immensely grateful for the opportunity to represent and serve Mississippi once again. She’s looking forward to competing for the coveted title of Miss USA and possibly the chance to represent the USA at Miss Universe in Mexico later this year

Kaylee Brooke McCollum won Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2019 on her second attempt, after placing as a semi-finalist the year prior. She went on to give Mississippi their fourth top five placement at Miss Teen USA, finishing third runner-up to Kaliegh Garris. She returned to compete at Miss Mississippi USA 2022 and placed fourth runner-up to Sydney Russell.
