Representing the state of Georgia for 2021 is 24-year-old, Cora Griffen. She is a first-generation college graduate from Auburn University with a degree in political science along with a minor in communications. Along with her degree from Auburn, she was also a collegiate cheerleader for the Tigers and pursues other talents including singing, modeling and vlogging.
Growing up in an underserved community, Cora had many obstacles in her life as a young child. Equipped to face adversity at a young age, she now uplifts and encourages young girls to grow through the challenges presented in life. Several years ago, Cora began her pageantry journey and attributes all of her success to learning from the loss and rejection she faced in her life. In 2020, Cora created the “Beautifully Purposed Project” where she champions young girls’ self-esteem and confidence. Through her meaningful discussions, Cora connects with each girl and leads them to gaining increased levels of self-esteem and authenticity. She believes the way we inspire change is to share personal stories with the next generation of leaders. This openness facilitates genuine dialog and a greater empathy towards others.
Cora will spend the next year traveling the state of Georgia as a brand ambassador for the Miss Georgia USA organization along with furthering her personal ambitions in public speaking, modeling, and television.
