A native of Washington, DC Hannah Gilliard was crowned Miss District of Columbia Teen USA on 17 July 2021 and represented the District at the Miss Teen USA 2021 pageant in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hannah is currently an active member of the Youth Ministry of Kingdom Fellowship AME Church in Silver Spring, MD, and she works with the NAACP on a variety of outreach programs in underserved communities. She was the first DC Teen to make the top five at Miss USA and their first semi-finalist since 2001.
Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2021 Hannah Gilliard is a former Miss DC Talented Teen (Feb. 2020) and former President of the Young People’s Division at Metropolitan A.M.E. Church in Washington D.C.. She’s enthusiastic about the opportunity to work in underserved communities. Hannah looks forward to representing the District of Columbia, with a vision to provide tutoring and mentoring services to young women in Wards 7 and 8 and to help expand mental health platforms for teens because teen mental health is an issue that’s very important to her. She also plans to help enriching communities through back-to-school drives and leadership training.
