A native of Washington, DC, Sydney Jackson was crowned Miss District of Columbia Teen USA on 19 January 2020 and represented the District at the Miss Teen USA 2020 pageant in Memphis, Tennessee. Sydney served as Co-President of her high school student body and participated in multiple student walkouts and social activism marches for LGBTQIA+ rights, gun control, women’s rights and equality.
Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2020 Sydney Jackson is an eighteen-year-old high school graduate who is currently taking a gap year before matriculating into college in August, 2020. She served as Co-President of her high school student body, participated in multiple student walkouts and social activism marches for LGBTQIA+ rights, gun control, women’s rights and equality, etc.
Sydney competed in her first pageant in 2019 for the title of Miss District of Columbia Teen USA and placed first runner-up. She is passionate about female empowerment, social activism, fashion, and style blogging. Sydney has spent countless hours participating in community service centered around female entrepreneurs, artists, and justice involved women in the Metropolitan area. This year she plans to launch her lip gloss company, which will be gluten-free, and cruelty-free. During her reign, she will be using her platform Girl Empire 202 to promote, support, and highlight the amazing girls and women in the District of Columbia and share their experiences, art, and talents!
