A native of New Mexico who was living in Denver during her reign , Amanda Wiley was crowned Miss Colorado USA on 28 October 2012 and represented Colorado at the Miss USA 2013 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has an MBA from the University of Arizona and is Vice President of Corporate Communications at Health Catalyst.
Amanda Wiley was crowned Miss Colorado USA in October 2012, marking the fruition of her childhood dream. Service to others has been important to Amanda since a young age. She spent her summers volunteering for the American Red Cross and helping out at her school’s thrift store. Amanda has worked to fight breast cancer – lobbying with the American Cancer Society for increased funding for low-income women, volunteering at Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and serving on the Colleges Against Cancer-UNM committee.
In her free time, Amanda loves traveling, reading, making homemade ice cream, and cheerleading. Amanda has won both state and national championships as a member of the Alamogordo High School and University of New Mexico cheerleading programs.
Amanda proudly graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2010 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Journalism. She aspires to be on camera, both as a sports broadcaster and commercial model.
