A native of Phoenix, Yesenia Vidales was crowned Miss Arizona USA on 5 January 2020 and represented Arizona at the Miss USA 2020 pageant in Memphis, Tennessee. Yesenia is the daughter of Mexican immigrant parents and enjoys hiking, kickboxing and dancing.
Yesenia Vidales Islas, born & raised in Phoenix Arizona, was raised in a household of hard working parents, teaching her the meaning of family values, love, spirituality, and accomplishment. At twenty-three, she is the youngest of two and the daughter of Mexican immigrant parents.
In her free time, Yesenia enjoys hiking, kickboxing and dancing. Driven by the search of accomplishment and overcoming hurdles, Yesenia is not afraid of taking risks. In her youth, she took years of dance lessons, in various styles including ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. Dancing in stage for so many years helped her gain confidence and feel comfortable on stage.
Yesenia plans on becoming an actress one day. She would love to be in action and super movies. Another goal of hers is to open up her own swimwear line.
