Sydney Taylor is a freshman at LSU, where she majors in civil engineering. Before graduating high school, she played basketball and softball for ten years, which taught her many important life skills. Sydney is the oldest of three girls. Her two younger sisters are Gracie, 16, and Shelby, 12. In her free time, Sydney enjoys working out and spending time with her family and friends. In the future, she plans to work with her dad as an engineer. Something Sydney is passionate about is Veterans. Her grandfather fought in the Vietnam war and she witnessed the effects it had on him and she wants to do what she can to bring awareness to the causes and effects of war on Veterans. She has plans to fundraise and work with an organization called 4 The Hero’s. Sydney is so excited to have the opportunity to represent the great state of Louisiana this year!
