Contestants for the 2017 Miss Wyoming USA and Miss Wyoming Teen USA pageants are up now! The Miss competition has 21 contestants, up five on last year but similar to those from 2012-2015. Teen numbers are also close to recent years. Prelims are at 8pm MST on Saturday with finals on Sunday at 4pm MST, both webcast for $14.99 per show.
Miss Wyoming 2015 Mikaela Shaw is competing in the USA system for the first time, and Miss Wyoming's Outstanding Teen 2014 Addison Treesh is competing in Teen. Miss Wyoming Teen USA 2008 Callie Bishop is back after a two year gap - she was first runner-up in 2012 and a semi-finalist in 2013 & 2014. Three of last year's top five are back in Miss: first runner-up Lexi Revelli, who was also 3rd runner-up in 2015, fourth runner-up in 2014, second runner-up in Teen in 2013 and a Teen semi-finalist in 2012; second runner-up Whitney Haugen, twice a non-finalist in Colorado; and fourth runner-up Hope Golgart. 2013 Teen 1st runner-up Kaylynn Keller is back after last making the Miss WY USA top 15 in 2015. Other returning semi-finalists are Tori Cole, Megan Martinez, Alexis May and Haylee Sauerwine.
Amazingly, the last newcomer to win Miss WY USA was Abby Norman in 2005! Of the 11 titleholders since then, two (Caroline Scott & Autumn Olson, the most recent winners) were former Teens and only Robyn Johnson had not previously made the top five.

In addition to Addison Treesh in the Teen division, Autumn Schieferstein and Mackenzie Kern, runners-up in both 2015 and 2016 are back. Autumn was 1RU last year and 3RU in 2015, and Mackenzie was 4RU last year and 2RU in 2015. Past semi-finalists who are competing are Ashlyn Braley, Ariana Hauglid, Jenikah Michael, Kayli Turlington, and Grace Turner.
In the past five years, three of the Teen winners have been newcomers. The last previous runner-up to win the title was current Miss WY USA Autumn Olson who was Miss WY Teen USA 2013, and before her Kasi Johnson in 2003!
