Elizabeth Denny is Miss Oregon Teen USA 2017 and Vanessa Matheson has been crowned Miss Oregon Teen USA 2017! Elizabeth was second runner-up in last year's pageant and Vanessa was first runner-up. This is the first time in my records that returning runners-up have won both titles. Elizabeth also has extensive experience in the MAO system.

Elizabeth's first runner-up was 2016 semi-finalist Caitlen Monnone. Newcomer Hayley Dent placed second runner-up. Improving one spot on last year to her highest ever placement was Kayla Knock who broke her fourth runner-up hoodoo (she was 4RU in both 2015 & 2016). Natalie Tonneson's fourth runner-up run stuck however, this was her third year as 4RU, following identical placements in 2014 and Miss OR Teen USA 2009.
The Miss semi-finalists included Vanessa's sister Stephanie Matheson (who was last year's 1RU like her sister), Miss Oregon Teen USA 2013 Summer Pilcher and past Teen runners-up Bridgette Wallace and Gabriella Sturgill.
Other than Vanessa, the only experienced contestant in the top nine was third runner-up Emma Alsept-Ellis who was 2RU last year and 2016 semi-finalist Olivia Gaunt. The runners-up were Nyah Branch, Alexis Johnson, Emma and Amaya Dayanan.
