Prelims & finals for Miss Oregon USA & Teen USA 2016 will both be held this Sunday. This is the first year that the Pageant Northwest group will direct the Oregon pageant (they also have Idaho, Montana and Washington). Photos are posted here.
The only two returning Oregon runners-up are 2015 4RU Kayla Knock and 2015 Teen first runner-up Kelsey Panek. Semi-finalist and 2015 Congeniality winner Sally Spencer is also back.
The Miss division also contains some familiar faces, from both recent years and the distant past, who you might not immediately associate with Oregon! A nice catch from a Hawaiian friend of mine to identify Amanda McDougall who was a Teen runner-up in Hawaii three times from 2006 to 2008 as Amanda McCown. Evelyn Clark, four-time runner-up in Washington, is now living in Oregon and representing Warrenton. Two-time Nevada contestant Natriana Shorter is also competing in Oregon for the first time. Kayla Knock also competed in Colorado twice before she was a runner-up in Oregon last year.
In the Teen division two-time third runner-up (2014 & 2015) Kaylee Davidson is back, as are semi-finalist Iyana Irving and non-finalist Elise Knowles.
Looks like we have a sister pair competing this year, Stephanie Matheson in Miss & Vanessa Matheson in Teen, both representing Klamath County.
