Miss Massachusetts USA & Teen USA 2016 results recap

A huge congratulations to Miss Massachusetts USA 2016 Whitney Sharpe and Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2016 Alexis Frasca!  Whitney is 21 and from Burlington, while 17 year old Alexis is from Franklin.  Whitney placed first runner-up last year and is the first returning 1RU since at least 2000, the earliest year I have records for.

Also improving one spot on last year was first runner-up Amanda Soucy.  She and Whitney also competed together in 2014.  2015 semi-finalist Ashley Baptista placed second runner-up while newcomers Nicole Ursch and Caroline Lushbough placed third and fourth runner-up respectively.  Among the semi-finalists were past Massachusetts runner-up Allison DeJesus and Rhode Island runner-up Nicole Eacuello.

All but one of the Teen top five were new, less surprising given how few returning contestants there were in the Teen division this year.  The only returning contestant was first runner-up Ashley Simoes who was a non-finalist last year.  Second through fourth runners-up respectively were Lillian Andrews, Caitlyn Martin and Lexi Woloshchuk.
