The trend for former Teens, and for blondes, is alive and well in Alabama. Their blonde streak in Teen is often overlooked, but a blonde has been crowned every single year bar one since 2005! In Miss, Peyton is the first blonde to win since 2010.
Second runner-up was newcomer Alyssa Knight who I thought had a very real chance of being the first newcomer crowned in any state this year. Third runner-up was Hannah Godwin, 3RU last year as well, and fourth runner-up was Synetta Hawkins, another newcomer.
Among the top ten semi-finalists was last year's fourth runner-up Caroline Pettey (also a Teen RU in 2013). Last year's first runner-up Liz Willis made the top fifteen, as did 2014 fourth runner-up Cortney Burns.
Last year's fourth runner-up Bailee Smith and two-time North Carolina runner-up Ashleigh Lenoir both made the top ten this year. Among the top fifteen semi-finalists was Hannah Carroll, third runner-up the past two years.
