Only three former Miss West Virginia Teen USA titleholders have competed at Miss USA, the most recent being Chelsea Welch (2007), the only one of the three to place. Amanda Burns is one of only a few titleholders who have won the Miss titleholder the year after passing on the Teen title. In 2012 two former Miss WV Teen USA titleholders placed 2RU in state pageants:Andrea Turner (2005) in WV and Lora Gallagher (2006) in Mississippi.
