Charisse is the daughter of Ed and Karla Haislop and the oldest of three children. She has lived in West Virginia her entire life. While growing up, Charisse excelled in the sports of gymnastics and swimming. She proudly finished her swimming career by anchoring her high school swim relay team to a record-breaking swim at their state meet.

Charisse graduated from West Virginia University in 2011 with a BS degree in Pre-med. She is currently the Business Development Manager for West Virginia Rx Card, a job that allows her to travel all across West Virginia, marketing her products to pharmacists and health clinics. She also spends her spare time teaching pilates, and promotes her passion of health and wellness through her contributions to the online magazine WVUPros. Her hobbies include doing pilates, writing, traveling, and estate sale and vintage shopping.
