Born in Fairbanks, Jessica spent her early years with her parents, Renee and Mike Kazmierczak, as they lived and worked in various communities on the North Slope and the Interior, before settling in Salcha. Jessica is a student leader at the University of Alaska Anchorage where she is a senior majoring in psychology with a minor in communications and was a summer intern to the late U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens following her graduation from Eielson High School in 2009. Following college graduation, Jessica would like to go into sales.
An accomplished cross country skier, Jessica twice participated in the Junior Olympics as well as the Alaska Winter games, traveling to Greenland one year. Today, she prefers figure skating and downhill skiing, and enjoys the outdoor activities she shared with her dad growing up, hunting, fishing and trapping.
