Trivia
  • This was the first time since at least 1994 that a complete newbie won TX.

  • Houston made the top three for the fifth consecutive year (this was actually their lowest placement in those five years, following two wins and two first runner-up placements).

  • This was the first year since 2003 where only two of the top five had previously placed in the top five of Miss Texas USA or Miss Texas Teen USA.

  • This was the first year since 1997 that there were two complete newbies in the top five.
