Kate was born in Roseburg, Oregon but calls the small town of Mitchell her home. She grew up on a cattle ranch with her loving family and lots of animals, but always had a love for writing, acting and music.
After High School she left Mitchell to go onto much bigger things. During college she majored in New Media Communications, and minored in Political Science and Spanish. Maybe her bigger accomplishment though was the amount of traveling she did her college years. Studying Spanish for a year in Mexico, reporting for a summer in Washington DC, and other opportunities in China helped create new opportunites and perspectives for Kate.
Now at age 24 she works as a reporter and producer at KTVZ, a local news station in Bend, Oregon. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, dancing, going on long distance runs, discovering new music, playing the piano and speaking Spanish. Kate also likes to go back to the ranch when she can.
