Lindsey is one of only three titleholders crowned so far that has competed in a state different from that where she won her title (the others are Monica Pietrzak, Miss CT USA, who previously competed in Massachusetts, and Lacey Minchew, Miss LA USA, who previously competed in Miss GA Teen USA)
She is the second consecutive Miss Michigan USA who had previously competed in a different state. Although she competed in Michigan in 2004 & 2007, Lindsey competed at Miss Florida USA 2008, where she was a non-finalist. Elisabeth Crawford, Miss Michigan USA 2008, was a non-finalist at Miss Texas USA 2004-2006.
Lindsey is the first titleholder from Sterling Heights since at least 1980 - and her Teen "sister" titleholder Kristen Danyal lives on the same street as her!
Lindsey is the first Miss USA 2009 state titleholder to have won the Miss Congeniality award twice.
