Notes
Whilst her win ends a three-year streak of first runners-up taking the title, Gabrielle is the fourth consecutive MD winner who had previously placed in the top five.
No other 2009 titleholder has had as large a gap between the years she competed, with a three year gap between her placing 3RU at Miss Marylad USA 2004, and competing and making the top seventeen at Miss Maryland USA 2008.
She is one of only two Miss Maryland USA winners since at least the 1980s to come from MD's Eastern Shore (the other being Melissa DiGuilian, Miss MD USA 2006), and the first to live in the far south of this area of the state, very close to the Virginia state line on the Delmarva Peninsula (yes, this involved Wikipedia - her town is difficult to find on Google maps and is listed on one site as a "Ghost town"!). I will admit that I'm missing some hometown information from some years in the the 1990s, if I am wrong, please email and correct me!
She is one of only two blonde winners since 2001.
