Aureana has now set a record for the longest period of time between winning Teen USA & Miss USA state titles - 10 years (although another Hawaii titleholder, Miss HI Teen USA 87 Leslie-Ann Lum inherited the Miss Hawaii USA 97 title when Brook Lee won Miss USA). She is the third Miss Hawaii Teen USA to win the Miss Hawaii USA title and only the first since 1999.
She is the seventh of the "class of 1999" to win a Miss USA state title - and the first since 2004.
