Rachel is the second of the Miss Alabama Teen USA 2006 top fifteen to win the Miss Alabama USA pageant. The first was Rebecca Moore (first runner-up to Carla Bauman), who won the title in 2007.
Her win continues the blonde-in-odd-years & brunette-in-even-years streak that began in 2004.
She is the third titleholder from Dothan since 2003. This is the first time since 2000 that consecutive titleholders have not come from the greater Birmingham area.
