A true small town girl, 21 year old Tori Rae Wanty comes from the tight knit community of Shelby, Montana. She is currently attending the University of Montana in Missoula, studying exercise science with an emphasis on human nutrition.
Tori had the opportunity to be on a team of researchers that did and extensive study on diabetes in the American youth of today. She is an active participant in the American Diabetes Association and wants to continue her passion by specializing in diabetes and working with youth to help prevent and treat diabetes.
Flamenco dancing, hiking, boating and attending symphonies are some of the activities Tori enjoys participating in during her spare time. Music has always been a passion, whether it was being involved in dancing, jazz and concert band, or playing the piano.
Family is the most important aspect in Tori’s life. Her family is very small but extremely supportive. Both of her parents are teachers, as well as all of her aunts and uncles. Tori has one younger brother, Trey (18 years old), who has been her best friend growing up. As a family, they enjoy anything that involves friendly competition or teasing each other. There is never a dull moment in the Wanty household. |
