Gloria has studied acting and is currently employed as a banquet coordinator for Beacon Restaurant in NYC. She plans to pursue a career as an actress and model. In her spare time, Gloria enjoys traveling, photography and writing. She is also involved in The Queen For A Day Organization and is an avid volunteer for the AIDS and Breast Cancer Walk.
In 2001, Gloria placed first runner-up to Marissa Whitley of Missouri in the Miss Teen USA pageant. She will be one of two former top five placing Miss Teen USA delegates to compete at Miss USA 2007 - the other is Helen Salas of Nevada (2RU 04). Gloria is the fourth Miss New York USA winner to have previously held a teen title, having succeeded Adriana Diaz, who held the Teen title in 2003. At Miss USA 2007, Gloria will compete alongside (literally!) Erin O'Kelley of North Carolina, who also competed at Miss Teen USA 2001. Gloria and Erin are two of only three MTUSA 01 delegates to win Miss titles.
