Madison Brock, Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2013, is the 17 year-old daughter of Liz and Jim Brock. As she moves through life, she is continuously grateful for the support of not only her parents, but her Aunt Robin, Nonnie and Pappaw. The care and unconditional love they have contributed during her journey is immeasurable! Madison has lived in many cities across the state of Mississippi but now calls Crystal Springs (the "Tomatopolis" of the South) home. She is the youngest of five children: three older brothers and one older sister. Currently, Madison is a Senior at Jackson Preparatory School where she is a Diamond Girl, member of the Patriot League and Spanish Club. Madison loves to sing and has been asked several times to sing the National Anthem at local baseball games, perform praise songs with her youth group and was most recently asked to perform at Jackson Preparatory's Coffee House. Madison also won "Prep's Got Talent" by singing her rendition of Carrie Underwood's hit, "Cowboy Casanova."
Three years ago, Madison began to notice a drastic increase in childhood obesity in her home state of Mississippi. She was shocked to find out that Mississippi leads the nation in childhood obesity cases. She also began to notice that these cases were coupled with a lack of confidence and an uncertainty about one's potential. Through the Global Leadership Institute offered by her school, Madison began her own program called "A Crown That Fits" where she emphasizes to children the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. This program was designed to not only reduce childhood obesity cases but to motivate and encourage children to continuously strive to be their personal best.
