Miss USA 2000 almanac
2000 was the second of two years that Miss USA was held in Branson, Missouri. Lynette Cole won Tennessee's first Miss USA title, five years after she competed at Miss Teen USA. A further nine former Teen titleholders, four former and two future Miss America titleholders also competed. Two of this years delegates have placed in the top five at Miss America: Rebekah Keller (CA), fourth runner-up in 1998 and Jennifer Dupont (LA), first runner-up in 2005. - Jamie Kern (WA) appeared on the first season of Big Brother in 2000. She later started a multi-million dollar cosmetics company and was a judge at Miss USA 2018.
- Jennifer Behm (DE) won the second season of Masterchef.
