Mackenzie Peterson lives on a third generation family farm in Klamath Falls, Oregon. An avid music lover, this 17-year-old is classically trained in vocal performance and plays three instruments. As an honor roll student at Henley High School and tri-sport varsity athlete, Mackenzie is part of her high school's basketball, cross country and track teams. Mackenzie created an organization to educate others about vascular disease in honor of her mother who has a rare condition. Additionally, Mackenzie was diagnosed earlier this year with a rare cardiovascular disease of her own. She hopes to attend the Oregon Institute of Technology to become a Radiologist in the future.
