As a first generation American raised by parents who only have a first-grade education, Erica Yvette Bonilla understands how learning can pave the way to a brighter future. Erica is currently pursuing her bachelorÕs degree in secondary education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she aspires to become a high school teacher before earning her doctorate and working as a college professor. In her free time, this 18-year-old enjoys going on morning runs, journaling, playing the guitar or ukulele and volunteering. As part of Zero Teen Fatalities young drivers task force, Erica has spoken to high school students throughout Las Vegas about the dangers of distracted driving.
