Heavyn McDaniels is a 17-year-old junior who found her passion in pediatrics while watching her younger cousin being treated for spina bifida. She is tri-racial from her maternal El Salvadoran side, and black and Italian from her paternal side and comes from a very diverse socio-economic and racial background.
Heavyn has enjoyed volunteering for the Matthew 25:40 Foundation for the last 10 years! The Miss Maryland Teen USA 2020 pageant is the first pageant Heavyn has ever participated in. This title allows her to express equality for all people in all circumstances, especially the education of women and children |
