Mara Carpenter is a 17 year old senior at Camden Hills Regional High School in Camden, Maine. She’s looking forward to attending college in New England to obtain her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. Along with nursing she hopes to specialize in psychology while getting her masters in Clinical Nurse Leadership.

Along with being a competitive dancer, she enjoys cooking, photography, time spent with family and friends and traveling whenever she can. She has enjoyed volunteering with the Liberian Education Fund and assisting with the Special Education program in her previous schools, experiences she will cherish forever.

Mara enjoys making people smile and during this next year she hopes to touch the lives of as many people as possible, especially in the younger generation. She would like to empower other young women by helping to raise their self-awareness and self-confidence. She is excited to work with many different organizations during this next year.

Mara is grateful and excited to have this opportunity to be your Miss Maine Teen USA 2019.
