Ten years after she won the Miss North Carolina Teen USA title, Katie Coble is now Miss North Carolina USA 2017! This was Katie's fifth attempt at a Miss title, breaking her 3RU hoodoo from 2013, 2014 and 2016 (&she was also 4RU at Miss AL USA 2012). Katie is the fourth of the Miss NC USA 2014 top five to win the Miss NC USA title and will be the third to represent NC at Miss USA.
Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2017 is Kenzie Hansley, who is the second Miss NC's OT to win the Miss NC Teen USA title. Kenzie was Miss NC's OT 2015, and follows in the footsteps of Kat Puryear, who was Miss NC's OT 2009 & Miss NC Teen USA 2012. Katie also won the Photogenic award and Kenzie won overall Swimsuit. Katie is from the south Charlotte area and Kenzie is from Topsail Island, near Wilmington.

Three of the four runners-up had thirteen years of Miss USA & Teen USA state pageant experience behind them. First runner-up Victoria Vesce and third runner-up Lindsey Baker are both past Teen top five finalists and made the top five in Miss for the first time. This was Victoria's third attempt at the Miss title and Lindsey's fourth. Second runner-up went to Megan Hucks, South Carolina's 2015 first runner-up. Fourth runner-up was the only newcomer in the top five, Cheslie Kryst, who also won the swimsuit award.
Making the top ten were Miss NC Teen USA 2013 Kelsey Barberio, 2015 and 2016 fourth runners-up Morgan Evans and Kensley Leonard, four-time semi-finalist Jessica Halso and past California contestant Brittney Hill.
The top fifteen included 2015 & 2016 semi-finalists Brittany Pierce and Erika Turner (this was Erika's sixth year competing), and three-time New Jersey Teen runner-up Juliette Gabriel. The other two were newcomers Tiffany Knox and Kheiston Tilford.
