This weekend we have a triple header with new titleholders being crowned in Missouri, Wyoming (contestants still yet to be posted) and Montana (click here to view my contestant rundown for MT). Miss MO USA contestants can be seen here and Teen here.
Numbers are down in both divisions in Missouri this year with only 35 in the Miss competition and 27 in Teen. In recent years the Miss competition has averaged 40-50 contestants and Teen anywhere between 50-70. However it's not the lowest numbers I have recorded (I have a contestant numbers spreadsheet which runs from 2007 to now) for MO - from 2009-2011 the Miss competition averaged mid 30s and 2011 also had 27 Teens.
Miss MissourI Teen USA 2014 Samantha Bowers is back in the Miss competition after placing 2RU in 2017 and sitting out last year's pageant. She will be the second 2014 Teen to compete this year (with one more confirmed to be competing in a couple of weeks) and the eight former Teen to be confirmed to return this year.
She is joined by 2018 1st runner-up Miriah Ludtke, who was also a runner-up in 2017, as well as placing 1RU at Miss IL Teen USA 2011, Ashleigh Bedwell, 3RU in 2018 and second runner-up at Miss MO Teen USA 2017 and 2018 4RU Sydney Benson. Sadly I have yet to find a photo of either top five from last year, as very few photos from the pageant were ever posted - let me know if you might be able to help! ;). Allison Bowles, 4RU to Samantha at Miss MO Teen USA 2014, is competing in Miss for the first time and Caroline Campbell, who was a runner-up in Illinois in 2015 & 2016 and a Miss semi-finalist at Miss IL USA 2018 is competing in MO this year (she attends Lindenwood, as do quite a few other of this year's contestants!).
Other returning contestants are Alexandria Spry, a semi-finalist three years in a row 2015-2017, 2018 semi-finalist and former Miss MO (America) runner-up Katie Moeller, another 2018 semi-finalist CJ Thomas, and three-time Teen runner-up Adrienne Burfield,

The Teen competition this year is going to be an extremely open affair, with only four out of 27 contestants having competed previously (& only two of those in 2018). Abilene Lortz is the only returning runner-up (3RU last year), she also made the semi-finals at Miss MO's Outstanding Teen over the summer. Destiny Drake was a semi-finalist in 2018 and a non-finalist in 2017, Rae-Ann Riddle was a non-finalist in 2017 & 2016 and Lauren Everett was also a non-finalist in 2017.
