Miss Florida USA 2016 Contestant Rundown

Miss Florida USA 2016 will be crowned on July 11, the day before 2015 titleholder Ashleigh Lollie represents her state at Miss USA.  Contestant photos are posted here.  

There are fewer returning runners-up and semi-finalists than there were in last year's pageant, but still a strong group of contestants.  These are headlined by Miss Colombia World 2012 Barbara Turbay, and past first runners-up Jessica Santiago (2013) and Brie Gabrielle (2014).  In a rare occurrence for Florida there are also three former Teen titleholders competing: Brianne Bailey (2013), Kayla Collier (2009) and Kelsey Stevens (Miss OH Teen USA 2009).  Brianne and Kayla are competing in Miss for the first time (Brianne will be just the third from the class of 2013 to compete), while Kelsey was a semi-finalist at Miss Ohio USA 2012 and fourth runner-up in 2012.  The only returning runner-up from 2015 is Jessica Voigt, who was 2RU last year.  Former Miss US Intercontinental and 2010 Teen 4RU Chrissy Reynoso will be competing in Miss FL USA for the first time.  Miss Maryland Teen USA 2015 first runner-up & 2014 2RU Nicolette Jennings is also competing.

As has become a trend in Florida, a number of contestants previously competed in other states.  In addition to Brie (California), Kelsey (Ohio) and Nicolette (Maryland), Kara Fountain has previously competed in Georgia, Tyler Zimmerman in Texas, Christina Nicholson in Virginia and Nathalie Soler in New Jersey.
