Makenzie Sexton is originally from Mountain Home, Arkansas and later moved to Cabot, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Miss Missouri USA 1992 Tonya Snodgrass and David Sexton and sister to Stratt Sexton. She played basketball all through school until two years ago, when she tore her meniscus in her left knee. She underwent three surgeries and unfortunately was no longer able to play. She says through that experience taught her many things; one being that a person is not defined by their talents or abilities; it is about the content of your character. In winning the title of Miss Arkansas Teen USA, it gave her an amazing opportunity to use her voice and share this message.
